What is a capability analysis?
A capability analysis is a series of calculations performed on a set of data. The analysis asks the question "how is my process performing compared to how it
should
be performing?" Cpk is one of the statistics that gets calculated. The higher the Cpk, the more
capable
your process is of performing as it should. In other words, the higher the Cpk, the more
capable
your process is of producing output within the specifications.
